Citroën has released the first images of New C4 Picasso, which will be launched this summer.

Shorter than its five-seat predecessor, but with a slightly longer wheelbase, the new C4 Picasso promises increased interior space as well as new features and technology.

Some aluminium has been used in its construction, making the new model up to 140kg lighter than the current version also helps improve efficiency, with CO2 emissions from 98g/km and fuel consumption of 74.3mpg from the Airdream variant.

Citroën says the new model retains the ride comfort of the first C4 Picasso but with improved ride and handling. It also offers adaptive cruise control and blindspot monitoring.

Full UK specification and prices will be revealed coser to the car's on-sale date.
