Fleet Tyre Network (FTN), the provider of replacement tyre services to the fleet industry through the independents, has been selected as the primary tyre provider for Europcar.

FTN will be responsible for Europcar’s replacement tyre requirements in both its rental locations and whilst its vehicles are on hire through FTN’s 900-strong nationwide network of independent tyre fitters.

The service is geared around Europcar’s customer service and commercial objectives, with a particular emphasis on improving the customer experience.

Nick Bennett, managing director of FTN, said: “We are thrilled that Europcar has chosen FTN as its primary partner for this contract.

“Our ambition is to create an open tyre market, where customer service and free choice are made available to all without compromising cost.”

Ken McCall, managing director of Europcar UK Group, added:  “Tyre replacement is a necessity and it is imperative the service is swift and painless, the customer is back on the road quickly and the vehicle down-time minimised. I have every confidence FTN can meet that requirement.”

The deal with Europcar comes in the wake of LeasePlan appointing FTN, along with ATS and National Tyres, for its new tyre fitment network, dropping its previous supplier, Kwik-Fit.
