The new Allstar One card is delivering savings for Kier Group with its drivers now able to access discount diesel.

The Allstar One card, which launched last year, brings together a host of fleet solutions and security benefits on one card.  This includes providing customers with access to a network of nearly 8000 sites, as well as 1,800 sites where they can purchase discount diesel.

Kier Group, which runs a mixed vehicle fleet of more than 7,000 vehicles in the UK, including LCVs, HGVs and company cars, made the decision to switch to the Allstar One Card last July and has so far migrated 50% of its fleet. It plans to migrate the remainder this year.

Rick Nurse, fuel category manager at Kier, said: “When selecting a fuel card supplier, the most important factors are network size and convenience.  For us, it’s crucial that our drivers can refuel without having to deviate from their routes. Price is also important, so we wanted to implement an efficient and cost effective fuel management strategy.”

Kier Group carried out an extensive procurement exercise last year to review its fuel card providers and awarded the sole contract to Allstar based on its ability to deliver its requirements.

Nurse continued: “Allstar’s network convenience, coupled with intuitive and user-friendly management and reporting solutions help us monitor and manage fuel usage more effectively.  These tools provide an invaluable benefit as we undertake analysis to ensure fuel efficiency.

“The introduction of the Allstar One card and use of Keyfuels sites mean that our drivers now have the opportunity to access discount diesel through this network. Being able to do all this on one card is a major benefit for our drivers.”
