Berlin-based fleet management software provider Vimcar is expanding to the United Kingdom.

The company specialises in providing low-price vehicle management services to small and medium size businesses.

It has already equipped more than 90,000 vehicles with its SaaS solutions in German-speaking countries.

The Vimcar Fleet GEO product offers functions such as real-time vehicle tracking, digital theft protection and geo-fencing.

It uses an internet-connected OBD2 dongle, that can be plugged into any vehicle.

“Our products are developed specially for the needs of medium-sized fleets with up to 200 vehicles. We know exactly what this target group wants and needs. So it is especially important to us that our products are easy to use.

“You can install the OBD dongle yourself in just a few minutes and don’t have to take the vehicle to a workshop to have this done. The software can be used either on the road with a smartphone or on a computer,” said Vimcar’s UK country manager Ronald Clancy (pictured).

Andreas Schneider, founder and CEO of Vimcar, added: “The timing of the expansion might come as a surprise – however, despite Brexit and the Coronavirus, this was a deliberate choice and one made with complete conviction. We believe in the British market and in Britain’s small and medium-sized companies.”
