Barclaycard Fuel+ has been announced as the official headline sponsor of the inaugural Fleet Management Live exhibition and conference, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on October 6 and 7.

Organised by Fleet News, Fleet Management Live is a new forum for suppliers, manufacturers, service providers and fleet decision-makers. It’s the definitive event for key company car decision-makers, whether they are traditional fleet operator or non-fleet managers in procurement, finance, HR, travel and facilities management.

Barclaycard Fuel+ has been developed in association with The Miles Consultancy and features the award-winning mileage capture, audit and control system which accurately records drivers’ mileage and fuel spend to separate business from personal use. Fuel+ is powered by Visa, meaning it’s accepted almost everywhere, and with no transaction charges and total visibility, it allows businesses to take full control of their fuel spend.

A winner of the Fleet News Award for best new product of 2015, Barclaycard Fuel+ enables fleet managers to make substantial savings on their fuel bills and covers the biggest network of filling stations, which results in less time and fuel spent looking for the right place to fill up.

John Bostock, account development director at Barclaycard, said: “We’re excited to be the headline sponsor of this year’s revamped Fleet Management Live, which we expect to become a staple in every fleet manager’s calendar of events. As a meeting place for fleet decision-makers up and down the country, Fleet Management Live is ideal for businesses to share their guidance and expertise and we look forward to welcoming hundreds of visitors to the Barclaycard stand.

“We’ll be showcasing our fuel card, Barclaycard Fuel+, which we launched in partnership with The Miles Consultancy last year. Fuel+ can help fleet managers reduce their costs and track their fuel expenses. Visit Barclaycard on stand B41to talk to one of our team and find out how we can help your fleet take full control of your business’s spending on fuel.”

Stephen Briers, editor-in-chief of Fleet News, added: “We are delighted that Barclaycard has come on board as headline sponsor of Fleet Management Live. They are shaking up the fuel card market and their innovative approach ties in very well with the ethos of Fleet Management Live and I’m sure that they will add real value to the event.

“Fleet Management Live will cover all aspects of company car management from projecting the future direction of cars and fleet management to practical and hands-on guidance on effectively running a fleet in today’s ever-changing market. At a time when the fleet manager role is becoming ever more complex and time-consuming, this two day event will provide genuine, practical advice and support to help them make their function more effective.”
