How are fleet manufacturers meeting the challenges of Covid-19? Toyota responds

Toyota and Lexus has appointed Stuart Ferma as general manager, fleet operations

In May and June, Fleet News surveyed all the major manufacturers to find out how they were responding to the coronavirus pandemic, how they are supporting their fleets customers and their views on the type of impact it would have on the fleet sector.

The resulting article was published in the June edition of Fleet News.

Here is Toyota's response.

Fleet News spoke to Stuart Ferma, Toyota general manager, fleet operations (answers as at 29/5/20), he said:

"The Toyota and Lexus fleet team has been fully operational during the lockdown period, answering any queries or questions our customers may have and working with them to support their business requirements.

"Furthermore, as we have remained open our customer support team have still been receiving orders from our localisation partners throughout this period.

"We still have a very strong order bank for our hybrid model range as we see the trend continuing for company car drivers moving away from diesel into our extensive self-charging hybrid model range."
