Octopus Electroverse has launched a new business payment card that brings charging, fuelling and everyday fleet expenses – such as food, travel and car washing – into a single platform.

The new card, powered by Visa, integrates fully with the Electroverse platform, providing businesses with end-to-end oversight of their entire fleet.

It allows mixed fuel fleets to pay for electric vehicle (EV) charging as well as petrol or diesel, with access to exclusive, discounted charging rates through Electroverse’s partner network.

A single platform allows fleet decision-makers to manage driver profiles, e-fuel cards and receipts, while accessing charging insights through customised reporting.

Drivers have access to an app where they can capture receipts on the go and spending limits can be set.

There are no fixed contracts with three options for fleets - a public charging and payments card, a public charging card and a payments card.

The public charging and payments card is aimed at transitioning fleets looking to support their fuel and EV drivers on the same platform. It costs £9.50 per driver, per month.

The app and RFID gives access to 964,652 public EV chargers, with a physical and virtual card for business payments, and access to all payments, public charging and platform features.

The public charging card option is for EV fleets looking to offer their drivers access to one of Europe’s largest charging network, with the same app and RFID access to chargers, a real time view and breakdown of public charging and access to charging discounts and subscriptions for cheaper charging. It costs £4.50 per driver, per month.

The payments card only option is for fleets looking to make every day spending easier with a clear and integrated system.

Drivers are provided with physical and virtual card for business payments. They can be used as a fuel card by restricting spend to fuel stations and enable and control a wide range of business and expense spend. It costs £9.50 per driver, per month.

By consolidating charging, fuelling and daily spending into one system, Octopus says that Electroverse provides the infrastructure needed for a smooth and scalable transition to electric for many more fleets to come.
