Fleet operators, suppliers, manufacturers and individuals are being invited to champion their road safety achievements in entering this year’s UK Fleet Champions Awards, run by the road safety charity Brake.

The deadline to enter is fast approaching, with just two weeks left before the nominations window closes on Friday 31 May.

This year, Brake has partnered with Driving for Better Business from National Highways to deliver these prestigious awards, which recognise the achievements of those working to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by work vehicles.

Entries for the UK Fleet Champions Awards 2024 will close on Friday 31 May. The awards are free to enter and are an excellent way to celebrate the hard work of the organisations and individuals across the fleet sector that make road safety a priority.

All entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges and the winners presented at a glittering ceremony at New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, on Thursday 3 October 2024. This is the same venue as last year’s event which brought together more than 230 people from across the fleet industry to celebrate 60 shortlisted organisations and individuals, with winners across 11 different awards categories.

This year’s award categories are:

  • Company Driver Safety
  • Public Sector Driver Safety
  • Sustainable Journeys
  • Dr Will Murray Award for Analysis and Action
  • Fleet Driver of the Year
  • Fleet Safety Innovation
  • Fleet Safety Partnership
  • Fleet Safety Product
  • Road Safety in the Community
  • Safe Vehicles
  • Road Risk Manager of the Year
  • Kevin Storey Award for Outstanding Commitment to Road Safety

Launching the awards in April, Ross Moorlock, chief executive Officer at Brake, said: “We know there are thousands of examples of fleets across the industry that demonstrate their outstanding commitment to road safety every day. If you work in one of these fleets or know someone who has gone above and beyond to reduce the number of crashes on our roads or the pollution caused by work vehicles, we want to hear from you! Entering the UK Fleet Champions Awards is a great opportunity to gain recognition for your achievements.”
