On 11 and 12 June 2025, Vital EV returns as the official charging partner for this year's Company Car in Action, bringing its largest deployment yet to power the UK’s premier fleet test-driving event.
With a bold theme of ‘Energising the CCIA show’, this year marks a major milestone for Vital EV, delivering the largest temporary rapid charging hub in existence, along with full-fleet charging across multiple zones, all supported by 24/7 charge point management and on-site engineering from the Vital team.
The Largest Ever Temporary Rapid Charging Hub
Located at the core of Company Car in Action, Vital EV will be supplying, installing and providing charge point management services for 19 x Movable Dual Port DC chargers, enabling simultaneous charging of up to 38 vehicles.
This marks the largest temporary rapid charging hub ever built, designed to keep the entire event’s demo fleets powered and moving without downtime.
Vans In Action Area Powered by Battery Energy Storage Unit & Autel AC Chargers
For the dedicated Vans in Action area, Vital EV will also be supplying a mobile and highly flexible battery energy storage system (BESS), ideal for commercial vehicle demonstrations and for general charging applications where mains power supplies are constrained. Vital’s solution consists of an innovative 150kWh BESS unit housed in a rugged 10’ ISO container which will be used to power 6 x 7kW Autel AC chargers.
The setup highlights the potential of clean energy storage to support fleet charging, providing greener and cost-effective alternatives that mitigate grid constraints for fleet charging.
Supporting Manufacturers At CCIA
Alongside the central rapid charging hub, which is available to all exhibitors at CCIA, Vital EV is also providing tailored on-stand AC charging to ensure that manufacturers have charging infrastructure directly on their stand when needed.
As part of this offering, Vital EV is deploying 20 x 7kW Autel AC chargers across multiple manufacturer stands. These chargers offer convenient and reliable charging to ensure that electric vehicles remain powered and ready for test driving, without the need to frequent vehicle rotation.
Exhibitors will also benefit from Vital EV’s seamless charging support, enabled through Occulus charge management software, maximising uptime and availability to ensure consistency and performance throughout the event.
World-Class Onsite Support & Vital Engineering Presence
Behind the scenes of this year’s ‘pop up’ charging infrastructure, visitors will benefit from Vital EV’s expert, on-the-ground engineering support.
Throughout the duration of CCIA 2025, a dedicated engineering team from Vital EV will be on site and available 24/7, providing round-the-clock support to maintain charging availability, delivering a seamless experience for all exhibitors and attendees.
Vital EV's onsite services include:
- Charge point management services
- First-response engineering teams, deployed across the event to handle technical issues, ensuring complete uptime and availability
- Preventative maintenance and proactive diagnostics
- Support for all hardware brands
Vital EV understands that at events like CCIA, just as in the real-world fleet environment, a charger is only as good as the service supporting it. No downtime. No disruption. Just dependable power when and where it’s needed.
