Review

I OFTEN find myself stepping into the 206 with a degree of trepidation. Despite its attractive styling and enjoyable driving, I can never get comfortable.

I can't seem to find a position where the steering wheel falls within easy reach at the same time I can reach the pedals comfortably . . . Ah! The pedals. My size 12 shoes find the footwell tight and it takes much practice to avoid catching the gas pedal when depressing the brake.

However, the Eco provides motoring at more than 60mpg and it is only now that the latest new 'superminis' are being launched that the 206 is being shown up for driver appeal and interior space. Its long gearing makes for comfortable motorway cruising though.
