MG has unveiled two new executive models as part of an expanded line-up that takes the brand into new segments.
The IM5 is a BMW i4-rivalling premium saloon, while the IM6 is a mid-size SUV that's similar in size to a Tesla Model Y.
Prices start at £39,495 for the IM5 and £47,995 for the IM6.
MG claims the new models were developed around four key principals: Purposeful Innovation, Ultimate Performance, Intelligent Safety and Elevated Experience.
The IM5 will be available with a choice of two battery packs, offering 75kWh or 100kWh of capacity, along with single- and dual-motor powertrain options.
The entry-level Standard Range model has a range of 304 miles (WLTP) and a 295PS motor.
Long Range versions use the larger battery and have a 407PS motor. They can cover up to 441 miles between charges. The larger battery support 800-volt charging and can complete a 10% - 80% charge in 17 minutes.
The IM5 Performance also uses the larger battery but has 751PS, with two motors, and provides a 357-mile range.
All variants come with a high level of equipment as standard, including heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, four-wheel steering, a 360-degree camera system and automated parking.
A large 26-inch display runs along the top of the dashboard and provides infotainment and instrument cluster functions, while a second touchscreen sits in the centre console proving further access to key settings.
The MG IM6 is available with the Long Range and Performance powertrains, while a special Launch Edition trim, based on the Performance, is also offered.
The IM6 Long Range has a 388-mile range, while the Performance manages 313 miles.
Like the IM5, the IM6 comes with the same high-level of standard specification.
