LeasePlan Belgium introduces 'mobility card' for business travel

LeasePlan Belgium has launched its Mobility Card onto the market.

Based on the needs of the employee, the LeasePlan Mobility Card provides a wide range of business travel options including car, train, tram, bus, share bikes, share cars, parking and electric charging.

LeasePlan Belgium will make the Mobility Card available to customers from June 2015. After this date organisations will be able to issue all employees with a Mobility Card that is differentiated for multiple modes of transport.

This also applies to employees without a lease vehicle. The card enables LeasePlan Belgium and XXImo to support the broader mobility requirements of customers, thereby relieving them of the hassle of planning, managing and paying business travel expense invoices — irrespective of the mode of transport they choose.

The XXImo-platform registers all business mobility costs incurred and specifies all transactions on one collective invoice. The Inland Revenue accepts these invoices for VAT returns. This significantly reduces mobility administration for companies.

LeasePlan Belgium has also partnered with XXImo to launch a new app. The app gives users immediate access to their actual mobility budget, as well as the nearest taxi, train, charging station or parking locations. The app can also be used to plan journeys by public transport. Cardholders have online access to their transactions and the types of services their employer has authorised. They can also consult a service desk that is available seven days a week.

Luc Norga, director of driver, vehicle & procurement services, at LeasePlan Belgium said: “Society is rapidly changing due to greater flexibility in the employment marketplace and the fact that employees work at different locations more frequently. This is an important reason for LeasePlan Belgium to enter into partnership with XXImo.

"The XXImo-platform enables our customers to provide their employees with a fully personalised mobility offering that is aligned with current developments. LeasePlan Belgium is therefore able to stay ahead when it comes to providing our customers with the best possible service.”

Patrick Bunnik, CEO at XXImo added: “We are very enthusiastic about LeasePlan Belgium's decision to use our platform. This is a huge incentive for XXImo to continue working on the further expansion of the service package within our platform, which is unique in the mobility world due to its breadth.”
