Marcus Wren, Morrisons online fleet manager, is leaving the supermarket group to rejoin his former employer, EFM Fleet Services.

Wren, who spent almost three years running the Morrisons online fleet, has been appointed as head of fleet operations at the fleet management company, starting early August.

He will assume responsibility for full operational delivery on EFM’s two major grocery home delivery fleets, working closely with each customer’s internal fleet team.

EFM, which was established 10 years ago, has built its business around offering fleet management services to high volume home delivery fleets. Services include a national mobile repair network and real-time defect and compliance control.

“I’m joining EFM because there’s a solid base to build from, but with some of the UK’s largest, high-volume and time-sensitive home shopping fleets relying on us, there’s a real opportunity to lead from the front,” said Wren, who previously spent seven years with the company.

“I’ve built my personal brand on operational ownership, cost control, fleet knowledge and high standards - all qualities that align closely with EFM’s ethos. My focus will be on sharpening how we operate, raising the bar for our valued customers, and scaling the business in the right way.

“We know one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to our customers and EFM is able to adapt and align because it’s big enough to cope, but small enough to care. I’ll be sad to leave Morrisons, but incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved — and I wish my amazing team there the very best for the future.”

Wren’s announcement at Morrisons will be announced shortly.
