Tusker has won the tender to supply Peel Ports Group with its first salary sacrifice car scheme.

Peel Ports launched its flexible benefits scheme in 2014.  Following launch, the company was keen to develop its employment offering further with a salary sacrifice car scheme.

After an in depth review, Tusker was awarded the contract to supply Peel Port’s employees who wish to participate in the scheme.

Since the scheme launched in May, many orders have been placed, and the first car is due to be delivered within the next few days.

Howard Sloane, group HR director for Peel Ports Group said: "Tusker have demonstrated their ability to deliver a service that puts customer service at the heart of everything they do.  From the outset, their flexible and supportive approach has resonated well with the team at Peel Ports and we look forward to the first batch of company cars which will be arriving shortly.

"We have been pleasantly surprised with the immediate number of colleagues who have opted into the car scheme and this demonstrates a clear and thorough communication programme by the HR team at Peel Ports Group, supported by the team at Tusker.  I have no doubt that we have made the right choice in partnering with Tusker.”

Sloane added:  “But it's not just our current employees who benefit.  With so much recruitment activity, such as the 500 extra colleagues required for our new deep water container terminal at the Port of Liverpool which is due to open at the end of 2015, providing an award winning benefits package for our employees is extremely important to our Group and with this addition to our flexible benefits package we are confident in attracting the right candidates to our organisation."
