Insight Vehicle Management has bolstered its presence in the rapidly growing SME leasing market with the acquisition of Austin Vehicle Contracts for an undisclosed sum.

The founder Lynn Austin remains with the enlarged business and brings with her a wealth of client contacts and fleet industry experience. Also joining the business is Mark Rodway, who will bolster the sales support and administrative function in line with the expected increase in business volume.

The move coincides with a significant IT investment and is part of an ambitious three-year plan to grow the business.

Richard Hipkiss, operations director for Insight, said: “From the moment we first met Lynn it was clear that joining forces would accelerate the growth that both organisations were seeking.

“We were delighted to reach agreement on the terms of the deal very quickly and in a short space of time Lynn has already demonstrated that she is an ideal fit for our business.”

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Fleet Operations this new era for Insight also benefits from the recent relocation to a brand new head office in Newcastle, Staffordshire.

Ross Jackson, CEO of Fleet Operations, said: “This move underpins our key objective which is that, regardless of fleet size, we offer a range of solutions that can satisfy the varying demands of corporate fleet customers.”
