Volkswagen Financial Services is expanding its national sales team with the appointment of four new corporate sales managers.

Covering Scotland, David Rae joins VWFS Fleet from Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles. Rae will be growing the corporate fleet customer base in the Scottish region, ensuring customers benefit from the company’s flexible financial solutions and portfolio of fleet vehicles.

Rae said: “I am looking forward to working with a friendly open group of people who are all striving towards being the best leasing company in the UK.”

Matthew Terry joins the business to manage the North East region. He was previously at Zenith, where he looked after blue-chip clients. He recently completed the BVRLA ‘Professional Fleet Consultant Development Programme’ passing with Distinction.

Terry said: “Even though it’s part of one of the world’s biggest automotive and financial companies, VWFS – Fleet still has huge potential to further develop its brand and become the leading fleet supplier. I am really looking forward to being a part of its continuing growth.”

The South East region will now be managed by Nick Press, who brings with him over eleven years’ experience in the motor trade industry.  He was previously at Mercedes Benz.

“I am extremely pleased to be given the chance to work with VWFS - Fleet, which I believe is able to offer the best services, products and vehicles available on the market.”

James Watson will be responsible for the South including the management of six sales managers. He joins the business from Volkswagen Passenger Cars and has also worked for Fiat Group and LeasePlan, where he gained experience working with large fleets of up to 5,000 vehicles.

Watson added: "There is enormous opportunity for the business as it can offer market leading solutions for all types of fleet customers. In addition, it has the provenance of being part of a global group of companies that brings with it sustainability and innovation.”
