Leasing company Total Motion has registered an average 26.9% growth in profits each year since 2013, earning the company its first-ever ranking on a region-wide report in the East Midlands.

Total Motion is featured for the first time on the 2016 East Midlands Top 200 Report produced by the Leicester-based East Midlands regional office of business and financial advisers Grant Thornton, in partnership with the CBI.

The Report highlights the 200 fastest growing companies run and managed from the East Midlands on the basis of profit growth, and Total Motion’s average 26.9% average growth each year for the last three years has earned it its first placing on the Report this year in the top 100 in the region, with 97th position.

The company’s founder and MD, Simon Hill said: "It is an enormous privilege for me and my team to be awarded as a top performing company in the region. I strongly believe that this East Midlands Top 200 award is a true reflection of the hard work and effort that the team at Total Motion have put in over the past three years, and I am confident in the fact that we can keep performing above and beyond this standard in the years to follow. We are very thankful to be recognised in this way.”

Kari Mellon and Tom Copson from Grant Thornton’s Leicester office were involved in researching and compiling the East Midlands Top 200 Report. They said:

“Total Motion is a fantastic example of the vibrant economy here in Leicester and across the East Midlands. It has exhibited steady and sustained growth each of the last three years to secure it its first-ever placing on the East Midlands Top 200 Report this year.

“The company has significantly invested in its people, growing the team from 22 staff in March 2015 to over 60 today. It has six apprentices and is clearly keen to grow. It has a good, strong, progressive management team led by MD Simon, that clearly has a real passion for the business and its continued growth, but equally for keeping its employees happy and engaged.

“Speaking with Simon, it is clear to see that he and the team are always thinking a few years ahead in terms of how to structure the business to allow them to grow at the rate they are, and to keep looking for the next opportunity – they have identified a large pipeline of companies they want to work with.

“What sets them apart is the unique model they offer to their customers that gives them a bespoke service on a very competitive price basis.”
