The tender process
Stuart Walker, brand director at Automotive leasing, outlines the process suppliers go through to become an approved supplier on a Buying Solutions framework.
Step one
PQQ (prequalification process) – suppliers prove they can deliver the required services and that their existing clients are happy with the service.
Step two
Selection – suppliers are selected to go through to the ITT stage.
Step three
ITT (intention to tender) - suppliers are given a detailed specification of the framework and have one month to six weeks to compose their tender response and submit it.
Step four
Selection – the procurement organisation scores the suppliers and makes a final selection

This is not news as it has been in place for a few years, simply most public sector departments have not used it because they did not know about it. It would be more interesteing if public sector fleets joined together by region and then procured and shared whilst making real savings.
