The Role
This role is to head up and manage the European logistic operations and to manage all 3PL aspects of the business including any business that is used for sub-contracting.
Responsibilities and Accountability
Responsible for the running of the European department, strategically plan and manage transportation and customer services
Resolve any arising problems and complaints and look at corrective actions
Leading and developing the department and the teams within
Setting and achieving departmental targets. Ensuring all operational requirements and standards are met or there is a plan in place where they are not
Budget and financial compliance
Meet costs, accuracy and timeliness targets
Supporting tender requirements
Team performance, SOPs and training - identifying gaps
Developing TMS to its potential
Further developing structure and processes within the department
The Person
I highly motivated individual with exceptional man management experience who is able to lead people to achieve company goals.
Core Skills and experience:
Excellent all-round knowledge of transport and logistics.
Ability to manage and develop people.
Account management and development.
4 years' experience in the European transport industry

The company is a well renowned 3PL business with a specialist service provided to the automotive industry at all levels directly with OEM as well as suppliers within the supply chain.
They have gone through substantial growth due to diversification of industry and clients allowing for a larger operation
