Export and Logistics Manager required for an international manufacturing business in East Kent. This role is integral to the continued growth of the business and you will be acting as an ambassador for the business at all times
This role will involve managing a small team within export and logistics and to be considered you must have demonstrable experience within Customs and be fully knowledgeable of all EU/Worldwide customs regulations.
Role and Responsibilities
The management and development of the team, setting objectives and KPI's, performance management as we all as ongoing training for the team
Dealing with the arrangement of shipments liaising with carriers and forwarders, creating shipping documentation and dealing with internal and external customers enquiries via email and telephone
Accountable for the completion of all export documentation and that legal compliance met
Dealing with international customers, ensuring that the needs of the business are met and that all situations are dealt with efficiently, professionally and in a timely manner.About You
Minimum of 3 years experience within Customs/Shipping/Logistics
Full working knowledge of Commercial Invoices, VAT, Incoterms and general customs delivery paperwork
Demonstrable experience of current logistics and export legislation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to adapt to changing situations, to be able to work under pressure and to manage a team.
First class customer service skillsIn return you will be awarded a competitive salary, 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday, hours of work are Monday-Thursday 08.30-17.00 and Fridays 08.30-15.00
