My client is an exciting and growing national brand seeking a talented Group Fleet Manager to take responsibility for their entire company road fleet.
Reporting to the Logistics Director and playing an active part in the Logistics Leadership team, you will work in collaboration with all areas of the business and ensure all company road operations comply to all relevant legislation and 'O' licence requirements.
The role will involve the following key responsibilities:
Purchase and continued maintenance of the company fleet within agreed
Continually review the performance of the vehicle fleet with regard to suitability, application and potential future developments
Management of all company vehicle accidents with relevant insurance
Driving a culture of continuous improvement and involvement at all levels
Responsible for reviewing and agreeing the specification of all company road vehicles
Responsible for road fuel national contracts including monitoring of spend
Monitoring and challenging cost / spend across the business
Creation and monitoring of service and inspection schedules across the business
Management of business compliance of tachograph regulations
Ensure legal compliance across the business including driver licenses, vehicle specifications and applications
Overview of Driver CPC training and compliance
Play an active part in the company motor insurance specification, compliance and renewal
Ensure relevant policies and procedures are followed to enable compliance with all laws and regulations
Support of internal and external audit activities as required
Regularly review team member training needs identified by Site Managers and approve any training that will improve the skills level of the team
Ensure all team members are being managed consistently and in line with company HR policies and procedures
Motivate and encourage team members at all times
* Hold regular team briefings to keep everyone informed on transport related updates and communicate important information and changes
Responsible for all H&S and legal compliance for the Company
Review induction and training records to confirm employees have been trained on Health & Safety
Investigate fleet accidents across the business and liaise with managers to take corrective action to prevent accidentsThe perfect candidate will have the following skills, qualities and experience:
Experience within a transport/fleet management position
Experience of cost and budget management
Experience of vehicle procurement across all vehicle types
Proven experience of managing and developing a team
Superb communication skills
Knowledgeable in all aspects of transport management including 'o' licence and tachograph requirements
Knowledgeable in fleet accident management
Can demonstrate an understanding of HR best practice
Strong MS Office skillset
Relevant Transport/Logistics based qualifications
International CPC qualification
Full UK driving licence
