The Role

The role is for an experienced, diligent and motivating Group Fleet Manager working with a market leading specialist in civil engineering. You will be responsible for MAN management of a team to ensure fleet & plant operations run in a professional & efficient manner. You will come from a fleet or plant management background with a CPC qualification in a similar industry and will have exceptional industry knowledge to drive business forward.

The Candidate

What you'll be doing day to day

Ensuring Health & Safety.
Managing & ensuring profitability.
Senior customer care.
Managing all operations within the workshop.
Managing license requirements in line with Highways Commissioner.
Manage trailer inspection to assure that work is carried out.
Manage plant & vehicle servicing requirements.
Ensure all plant items are calibrated on time in line with requirements.
Ensuring insurance database is kept updated correctly.
Oversee & manage planning for planned preventative & corrective mechanical maintenance on fleet/plant items to maximise the lifespan of the products.
Managing multiple fleet depots nationally.
Working from job sheets to ensure the correct allocation of time and materials have been recorded.
Costings of job cards & daily production levels.
Stock control of garage parts.
Reducing spending/getting discounted rates or new suppliers to minimise costs and external spending.
Weekly reporting of plant hire revenue - both external & internal.
Company branding monitoring & pushing of brand.
Proactively managing the supply chain of plant, vehicles throughout product life cycles.
Utilisation of plant/fleet reporting to senior Directors on a ongoing basis.
External supplier works authorisation & approval.
Ensuring FORS accreditation is maintained.A key part of this role is to identify & propose money saving/making opportunities to the business.
