Management & supervision of a small team and a role to make a difference!
Your purpose in this ace role!
* To provide leadership to a team of 4 Imports and exports legends and guide and mentor and develop them whilst making sure you lead by example in this hands on manager role.
* To negotiate and manage the contracts, performance and relationships with 3rd party logistics providers and shipping freight partners
* Support the wider business by driving compliance, best practice and necessary regulatory changes.
** Lead and develop the Imports Team through effective coaching and development **
Key Skills and Responsibilities
* Import/Export Declarations - SAD and CFSP
* Customs Valuation of Goods
* Customs Warehouse declarations, EIDR and SDW
* Customs procedure codes and relevant authorisations specifically CFSP
* Tariff classifications, duty rates, licences and quotas
* Origin and Preference
* Incoterms and changes under Incoterms 2020, ensuring correct terms are used
* Letters of Credit
* Inward Processing relief
* VAT and International trade
* International Trade Compliance
* Working with Border Force re ETSF
* Working with HMRC on CW and IP
* Working to SOP’s to ensure compliance to all regulations
* Working with SMT to ensure cost effective workable authorisation structure
Identifying and implementing process efficiencies, where necessary through authorisation amendments.
YOU MUST HAVE:
* A comprehensive knowledge of submitting imports/exports Driving licence
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills - ideally advanced user
* Man management
