Are you an Interim Transport professional who is experienced when it comes to creating and implementing a long-term Transport strategy?

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Transport Manager to work across 2 Distribution Centres within the Midlands to improve the strategy within the Transport department - to work on a 6 month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a rapidly expanding team within a business that is currently experiencing extensive growth across the UK and Europe.

What will the role involve?

Coordination of all outbound activities of the brands and sites in UK (transportation, order fulfillment)
Assisting of all warehousing activities in UK in cooperation with local Warehouse Managers
Form an operational logistics/order fulfillment community in UK
Prepare integration of UK outbound activities into group function structure
Setup KPI system for outbound processes in UK

Ideal Skills and Experience

Deep knowledge of Transport processes and operational processes within logistics/order fulfillment in general
Ability to form a team out of diverse people from different business units
High customer orientation
Very good communication skills
Good stakeholder management skills
