Logistics Manager Job in Bournemouth

Our well established and thriving client based in Bournemouth are recruiting a Logistics Manager. This role will be responsible for the complete management of their outsourced logistics partners and stocks located in external warehouses. The Logistics Manager's duties will involve placing orders aligned to forecast with multiple clients and forward planning inbound schedule to meet customer demand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the management of all stock in logistic partner warehouses, including management of shelf life, goods in, discrepancies and repack

* Maintaining and developing order models, raising purchase orders, and strategically planning the inbound schedule for all clients to ensure the appropriate stock coverage

* Identifying and resolving any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are balanced

* Investigating and resolving all stock status queries and report to clients

* Ensuring all key metrics are managed within an agreed KPI framework

* Negotiating, maintaining, adhering, and ensuring logistics partners adhere to the KPI’s agreed

* Creating reports detailing and analysing monthly and weekly KPI data, including monitoring delivery times, quality and discrepancies and deliver them within specific timeframes

* Analysing and reviewing sales forecasts to ensure stock coverage sits within KPI parameters

* Updating internal and external client contacts with stock shortages and rationale as and when appropriate

* Being the main supply chain contact for all customers, clients, and partners

* Maintaining metrics and analysing data to assess performance and implement improvements

Skills and Experience:

* At least 2 years’ experience within a demand planning/stock control function as part of a logistics team

* Experience of import/export of products

* Experience of UK retail supply chain

* Experience of working with UK distributors

* Ability to analyse sales trend data to improve order forecasting and demand process

* Ability to use Excel to facilitate demand planning, sales data, and reporting requirements

* The ability to form and maintain good relationships both internally and externally at all levels

* Strong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing priorities

Salary and Benefits:

* A salary of £DOE per annum

* Monday to Friday working hours 9.00 am – 5.30 pm
