About this Role:
My client is immediately looking for an experienced Logistics Manager with the relevant tickets for a £27 million new build student accommodation project in Guildford, Surrey.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The role is with the project team at reporting to a project manager to look after the lifting plans, cranes and site safety of vehicles and operatives in and out of site on a daily basis.
Joining the team from initial site set up through to managing and coordinating the delivery’s and general housekeeping and of multiple work areas and traffic marshals and labour as the week’s progress.
Dealing with the sub-contractors and labour on site you will assist the project manager to cover the ground and make sure the safe practices are adhered to over the course of the project and coordinate crucial delivery’s and supervision of cranes across the site .
You will be key both in daily and weekly meetings and the out on site management, health and safety of the contractors as required as well as pre start meeting and logistical queries’ on the project .
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Applicants must have up to date CSCS SMSTS and 1st aid as well as experience as a full time logistics manager on major projects for the main contractors from start to finish in excess of £15 million in the past.
Ideally candidates should have a no nonsense attitude to health and safety, be organized with paperwork and the management of technical issues out on site.
