A joint-venture on a major infrastructure project are searching for an experienced Logistics Manager to join their team in a permanent basis.
This position requires a disciplined professional who will be able to work from home but also attend and visit site meetings with senior management when needed.
As a Logistics Manager, you will have a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the project and ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are managed promptly.
Some of your duties will include:
• Plan site set up to ensure materials and plant can be move around site efficiently • Overall responsibility for the logistics team • Plan internal and external logistics routes • Manage lay down and offloading points • Create a schedule of logistics meetings • Understanding procurement arrangements • Control materials in and out of site • Record keeping and maintaining KPI's
• Previous experience as a logistics manager on a busy construction site • Able to commute to and from site when needed • Strong communication skills • Good negotiation ability
