As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the supply chain process
To manage and oversee the efficient running and improvements of the logistics function, maintaining good relationships with customers and suppliers and ensuring effective co-ordination and communication - the role will liaise with every function of the business. Areas of responsibility include transportation, the flow of goods and materials, stock control, planning, warehousing.
Responsibility and accountability for supplier scheduling and delivery performance with consideration to external influence such as legislation, fuel costs and environmental pressures. Focus on and drive data accuracy and integrity of SAP system maintaining accurate orders, scheduling and stock information.
Analyse the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods; with a view to improve
Ensuring the order cycle and associated information systems/processes are strictly adhered to and improved
Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements
Ensuring the overall department structure is integrated and meets on-going customer needs at the lowest cost
Ensure a structure and process exits to guarantee safe working practices
Ensuring a professional approach is maintained with colleagues, customers and suppliers by the supply chain department.
Analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions
Develop departmental training plan
Planning projects related to the overall development of the supply chain
Development of SAP systems and processes to improve the overall supply chain process
Prepare and control the supply chain budget
Organise and take part in inventory checks
Monitor the quality, quantity cost and efficiency of the supply chain function
