JOB TITLE: Logistics Manager
LOCATION: Commutable to the East Mids head office 2 or 3 days per week, rest remote working.
Our client is a Menswear fashion brand at an exciting time in its lifecycle.
Working within the wholesale department, predominantly responsible for managing the outbound exports process with our third-party warehouse, ensuring that all client orders are packed and distributed according to each account’s criteria.
This is an exciting role to help facilitate the next step in the brand’s growth and future and will have a Logistics Administrator reporting in to support the function.
·Managing the processes and daily activities for the transportation of garments from suppliers to external warehousing (25%), and most importantly to wholesale customers (75%)
·Working closely with the production team, external fulfilment partners, couriers and shipping companies to deliver the best solution for the business for import and export
·Liaising with the sales and accounts team as well as directly with wholesale customers globally where and when required, always understanding and considering the individual needs of clients small and large
·Managing the differing logistics requirements, coordinating with individual logistics teams of the retail partners, and utilising a flexible and collaborative approach to solving problems
·Establishing relationships and maintaining the current excellent relationships, learning from the methods in place now and developing new methods to improve the service and delivery
·Putting product and exceptional customer service at the centre of all of your decisions
·Full accountability for transportation methods, including future contract tendering, documentation requirements etc.
·An experienced export logistics professional with hands-on practical experience, alongside a clear track record of formulating and implementing best practice logistics processes
·Fashion logistics experience highly advantageous but not essential.
·Highly desirable to have some experience (past or present) of working within a small, growing business environment, but also able to bring broader market experience to enable the future expansion of the business
·Has updated knowledge and experience of global export (and import) logistics terminology and regulations
·Experience of working with external warehouses, knowing and understanding global tariffs, garments codes numbers, transport methods and documentation etc.
·Well organised, efficient and numerate
·Strong negotiation skills
·Proactive over reactive – Looking for ways to prevent issues before they happen rather than having to firefight.
·Flexible and open to working on a variety of tasks.
·Excellent communication skills with the personality to thrive in a diverse, exciting, and constantly evolving environment
