Chubb now has an opportunity for a Logistics & Supply Chain Simplification Manager to manage logistics, inventory and supply chain integration projects ensuring we deliver a service that is customer focused.

The main goal of this role is to manage current logistics and inventory management processes used to support Chubb’s field based service and installation teams while identifying opportunities to improve and simplify these processes & linked operational processes in the future in order to take the business forward following our core message of, acquire, serve & retain customers.

Our National Distribution Centre is based in Hams Hall near Birmingham. However, with remote working this role can be based anywhere in the Midlands or North West (we have a large office in Blackburn).

What will I be doing as a Logistics & Supply Chain Simplification Manager?

Manage all inventory held at the Chubb National Distribution Centre and local field support stores ensuring excellent levels of customer order fulfilment while minimising stock on hand.
Work closely with the Chubb service and installation management teams to ensure that both outbound product deliveries and returns processes support the field-based engineers in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
Manage third party warehousing & distribution contracts to ensure that contract resources are fully utilized, contract costs are minimized and that services are aligned with Chubb’s requirements.
Lead continuous improvement and business simplification activities to ensure our logistics, inventory, supply chain and linked operational processes offer the most value to our customers
To be successful in this role you will: 

Have a proven track record in managing logistics & inventory processes
Have experience of solutioning and implementing supply chain simplification and improvement projects
Have experience of mapping customer order through to delivery in a complex field-based service and installation business
Have experience of working with a complex distribution model
Worked in conjunction with procurement supporting supplier selection and inbound delivery solutions
Be experienced in managing departmental and inventory budgets
Be experienced in managing a small team of inventory and supply chain planners
Be experienced in managing third party logistics providers
Ideally be degree qualified in supply chain/logistics
Be experienced in change management

Have a current UK driving license
