Days; Hours; 8.00 -5.00 Monday - Thursday, finishing at 4.00 on a Friday

They have 3 sites in the UK and employ about 150 people

The role
The current Logistics manager is doing a Stirling job for the company. All the systems and processes are in place, there are no major problems or challenges to overcome and there is a very genuine reason why this person is leaving. The new Logistics Manager will have a very thorough handover so as to facilitate a smooth transition.
The role will involve
Managing between 30-50 loads a day from the 3 sites
Managing the Logistics team; including training, Performance management and compliance
Scheduling deliveries and collections
Ensuring that all the Warehouse Supervisors across all their sites are able to meet delivery deadlines
Making sure that all the transport department and Hauliers are adhering to Health,Safety and legislative regulations Ideally you will have:
Experience of delivering construction materials to building sites.
Experience in planning and routing vehicles on a national basis
A thorough understanding of construction vehicle types and the weight they can carry. Knowledge of cranes/ Draw-bars and Moffett's would also be highly desirable
Have existing contacts with subcontract hauliers
You will also have fantastic communication skills, be able to think on your feet and a master at overcoming challenges.
