The Manufacturing & Logistics Manager is a key role within the business and reports into the Plant Manager.
The role covers all aspects of the Manufacturing & Logistics functions ensuring that site production targets are achieved and products are delivered to the customer conforming to the quality standards, in full and on time.
•Ensure Health & Safety is maintained at the highest level
•To ensure the safe and effective operation of all machinery and equipment, buildings and premises for which they are responsible within the framework of HSE and employment
•To ensure that all Employees are fully trained in all aspects of their role
•Delivery of the weekly site production targets
•To ensure daily customer deliveries are accurate and on time
•Maintain Quality & Environmental standards
•Ensure factory planning & load maximisation & efficiencies are achieved
•To develop and sustain a positive, continuously improving, customer focused culture at the site.
•Delivery of set KPI’s
•Management of Transport Operators licence and legal compliance.
•Excellent people management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate people
•A self-motivated individual with an organised approach, excellent problem solving skills, a logical thought process and excellent communication skills
•Ideally experience of production management within a manufacturing industry
•Knowledge of safety, hygiene and quality systems
•A proactive and flexible approach with a positive work ethic.
