Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving sales, optimising operations, and developing high-performing teams? We are looking for an experienced Parts Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the performance of our Parts Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse departments.

About the Role

As the Parts Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our parts business contributes significantly to our company’s success. You will lead a skilled team of Parts Sales Reps (PSSRs), buyers, and warehouse staff, with a focus on growing revenue, improving customer satisfaction, and streamlining logistics and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and manage personnel across Parts Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse departments.

*

Drive parts sales growth in line with company turnover targets.

*

Develop and execute effective sales strategies based on market trends and customer needs.

*

Support PSSRs through coaching, training, and regular customer visits.

*

Analyse KPIs and sales data to identify growth opportunities and performance improvements.

*

Oversee supplier relationships, purchasing strategies, and cost controls.

*

Manage annual pricing reviews and collaborate with Komatsu on costing uplifts.

*

Control stock levels, minimise obsolete inventory, and manage physical stocktakes.

*

Streamline logistics and delivery processes to ensure efficient parts distribution.

*

Collaborate with Branch Managers to optimise depot operations and structure.

*

Manage department budgets, forecasts, and performance targets.

*

Lead recruitment, training, and performance development for all department staff.

*

Conduct regular departmental and cross-functional meetings to improve collaboration.

*

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and relevant legislation.

What We’re Looking For

*

Proven leadership experience in parts operations, supply chain, or sales management — preferably in the heavy equipment or automotive industry.

*

Strong commercial acumen and experience in data-driven decision making.

*

Excellent people management and coaching skills.

*

Knowledge of inventory systems and logistics best practices.

*

Strong customer service orientation with experience handling key accounts.

*

Experience with supplier performance management and pricing strategy.

*

Experience with ERP or inventory systems would be a great advantage.
