RandstadCPE are looking for a Plant & Logistics Manager to work for a HS2 Contractor in the Bicester area.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all vehicle movement across multiple sites.
Implementing robust SLA's and setting achievable KPI's.
Identifying cost saving measures: route optimisation, back-haul opportunity, potential subcontracting.
Undertaking thorough inventory checks, identifying waste and consolidating stock.
Being a point of contact for various key customers.
Working alongside the Commercial Director to ensure that Logistics is working effectively with other internal business functions.
Carrying out transport route validation, risk assessments and root cause analysis
Ensuring that SOP's are being met transport functions.
Communicating with external stakeholders.
Overseeing warehouse operations: goods-in through to delivery.The Ideal Candidate:
Have 3+ years experience as a Logistics Manager
Understanding of warehousing and transport
Experience of setting KPIs.
Experience of managing customer relationships.
Good IT skills including MS Office, accounting and planning softwareApply online or call Joe in the Birmingham office.
