Futures are working with a UK market leader in the automotive industry. Due to the implementation of a new business system they are looking to take on a Logistics Manager for a period of 4-6 Months.
Logistics Manager Roles and Responsibilities Supply Chain Logistics Operations Materials Control Scheduling Dispatch Shipping Warehousing Production Planning
*Ensure that the plant Business System is set up and maintained to provide the most appropriate planning, scheduling, stock and material control systems for the business.
*Ensure that timely production schedules are produced so that all customer delivery requirements can be met at optimum cost whilst maintaining optimum stock levels.
*Ensure that all dispatches and imports are made in the most cost-effective way whilst meeting customer requirements.
*Ensure that raw material and finished goods stock are maintained, handled, transported and stored efficiently, accurately and safely and at optimum levels to meet the needs of the business.
Logistics Manager - Skills and Attributes Supply Chain Logistics Operations Materials Control Scheduling Dispatch Shipping Warehousing Production Planning
*Educated to a degree level or equivalent, and the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
*Experience of planning & controlling stock levels with ability to collate & analyse detailed data to minimise costs
*Ability to communicate clearly & effectively both orally & in written form
*Leadership & motivational skills
