Are you looking for an opportunity to join an evolving engineering business that can offer you long-term stability in the current market? They are a leading designer and manufacturer of a range of high-tech engineering equipment that is used globally. They are looking for a strong manager to take ownership of both the supply chain and logistics departments, taking a strategic approach.
Everything they manufacture is low volume and high value; everything is built as one-offs. You will be responsible for managing a change in their buying profile and creating a robust supply chain, identifying new suppliers and securing supplier agreements to achieve savings. You will also take ownership of logistics and warehousing, making this not just a supply chain role but a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. You will have 5 direct reports across departments and be part of the Senior Leadership Team and giving your departments a vision to deliver the company objectives.
The Candidate: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager
The successful candidate will be positive and confident in their ability, a self-motivated decision maker, and will have most of the following skills and experience:
Experience of international shipping and logistics.
Strategic supply chain experience.
You may have work experience in one of the above and a qualification in the other – if that’s you then do apply!
Previously worked within an engineering manufacturing environment.
ERP experience.
CIPS Level 4/5 qualified.
To be commutable to the office you could live in or near one of the following locations: Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Wimborne, Christchurch, the New Forest, Ringwood, Fordingbridge
