I am currently looking for a Transport Manager to join a well established family run operation in the North West.
The salary on offer for this role is £30,000 working days.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Manager to join a flexible business and help the operation continue its growth.
The ideal candidate will be hands on and familiar with a smaller operation, having to get heavily involved with ll the day to day operating activities.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the compliance of up to 20 Vehicles
Overseen a team of transport office staff
Responsible for up to 20 drivers and compliance around hours, breaks, holidays and correct paper work
Completing investigations around defects
Ensuring O licence legislation requirements are complete and valid
Responsible for site Health and Safety
Meeting with customers on site and off site
Managing the day to day costs of the operation
Ensuing training matrix's are up to date
Completing staff appraisals and disciplinary' s
Quality checking planning routes
Dealing with auditors and developing company practices
Managing all the transport paper work including involves, drivers hours and compliance documents
Ensuring all vehicles MOT's are completed on time and scheduling servicingRequirements
CPC Qualified
Transport Manager experience is essential
