Insight Employment are seeking a Transport Manager to work for an established distributor of ambient and chilled fine foods based in Telford.
Job Profile:
The role will be based in their new distribution site in Telford, Shropshire and will involve the overall management of their four UK transport depots in Telford, Wetherby, Leighton Buzzard & Dunfermline. You will act as the depot supervisor for Telford, but also spend a significant amount of time at the other sites, managing their depot supervisors/drivers to ensure the smooth running of these depots. Initially the role will be a mixture of organisation, administration, training and dealing with issues as they arise, but we would envisage it could develop into a more strategic role as knowledge and skills build.
Initial training would be at their Dunfermline Head Office for the first 4-6 weeks.
Job overview:
You will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the efficient running of the van-based transport operation to meet business demands. This role will involve the following: -

Salary:
27-30k per annum depending on experience + Company Van
