Transport Manager - Jewson Builders' Merchants - Kilmarnock, Scotland

Our ambitious Jewson Kilmarnock team are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee distribution operations on site whilst delivering a first class service to all of our customers.

As a Transport Manager with Jewson, you will:

Manage the distribution of customer orders and deliveries across a designated area.
Provide a professional, stock, yard and delivery operation at all times, with the support of a dedicated distribution team.
Build and maintain successful working relationships with customers and colleagues.

So if you have...

Proven experience managing and leading a team to successfully deliver results.
Knowledge of Transport and Health & Safety legislation
An LGV license (preferred, as is a clean UK driving license).
The ability to plan and organise both yourself and a team to achieve maximum targets- e.g. stock, yard and driver management.
Customer relationship management experience, as well as the ability to handle and resolve customer queries.
Relevant product knowledge, ideally gained within a merchanting or similar industry.
A positive attitude with the ability to 'make things happen'.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a dedicated team.…we may just be the right for each other!
