CITY bank Merrill Lynch will say goodbye to the last of its company cars by the end of December following the company's decision four years ago to opt out of giving staff cars as part of their remuneration package. As a result, the company's all-perk fleet has shrunk rapidly from 600 vehicles four years ago to just 15 today.

By Christmas the company will be left with just three cars - two pool cars and a chauffeur driven limousine with the latter vehicle leased through Volvo Finance.
