Lex joins the Oasis electronic trading system network

LEX Retail has joined Henlys, Wadham Kenning and Lookers to take the number of major franchised dealers offering the Oasis electronic trading system to 30. Between them they operate more than 200 sites, while a number of independent garages have also signed.

Earlier this year Lease Plan joined and Oasis Global Systems, the company which operates the system, says more fleet operators are at the contract stage. In addition, following Kwik-Fit Fleet's decision to join the network, negotiations with other fast-fit companies, glass specialists and breakdown organisations are understood to be at an advanced stage.

The Oasis system provides fleet managers with automated invoicing. To utilise the system each company car driver is issued with a smart card containing personal and vehicle details and authorisation parameters. The card can be used to obtain services thereby eliminating manual invoicing.
