FAST fit specialist HiQ Tyreservices is offering a winter fitness check for cars, covering tyres, radiator, fan belt, hoses, battery, washers, exhaust, lights, tracking, shock absorbers and horn. The £12.95 check also sees the cooling system drained and refilled with top quality antifreeze.

HiQ operations manager Steve Tidmarsh commented: 'The number of breakdowns and accidents on the roads goes up in the winter and many of these are caused by faults which develop as a direct result of poor weather conditions. A good proportion of these could be prevented by a simple, fast check to identify potential problems before they cause trouble.' The checks are available at all HiQ centres.
