BATTERY manufacturer Euro Exide has ordered a Car Fleet Control software package to help manage its nationwide vehicle fleet. The Essex-based company specified CFC's Eurofleet system to increase efficiency in managing its 380-vehicle fleet and was particularly impressed with the package's user-friendliness.

Euro Exide's Linda Oliver said: 'The Car Fleet Control system stood out as being the simplest into which to enter information and then retrieve and format it in a way which would enable us to manage the fleet more effectively. 'It is especially good at handling P11D information, which is something we always found a time-consuming exercise. We feel more free to look at strategic management issues.'

The Exide deal follows the installation of Car Fleet Control's 1,000th copy of the Fleetbase software package for small fleets. Launched in 1993, Fleetbase has since been improved and adapted to cater for the specific needs of smaller operators.
