Elf Oil chooses Car Fleet Control package

A DEAL to supply fleet management software to the 130-vehicle fleet of London-based Elf Oil has been won by Car Fleet Control.

The man who helped make the choice of CFC's Fleetbase package is fleet co-ordinator Vince O'Mahoney, who fulfils a dual role of fleet co-ordinator and company chauffeur. He said: 'We had been using some cheap fleet management software but it was a nightmare. I thought some decent software could make a real impact on the efficiency of the fleet. I opted for Fleetbase because it offered the right facilities, looked easy to use and seemed to offer value for money.'

The fleet is largely composed of Renault 19s and Lagunas and O'Mahoney estimates 70% of his time is spent on fleet management. In the remainder he covers around 10,000 miles a year chauffeuring.
