TWENTY companies have so far booked to attend the 1997 Fleet Show - even though exact dates have still to be announced. Companies began booking even before last month's 1996 show finished with the rush for space at the 1997 event being led by Dentmaster.

Other companies which have pledged to attend the 1997 Fleet Show are: the AA, Ace Vehicle Deliveries, BCH Vehicle Management, BSM Qualified Driver Training, Chevin Computer Systems, David Henley Systems, Elite Business Systems, Elton Holdings, Fleet Assistance, Green Flag National Breakdown, Kwik-Fit Fleet, MVRA, Network Group, Pirelli Tyres, Quality Industries, Sanderson FCS, Trace Systems, Toyo Tyres and Woods Car Rental.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that a record number of company chiefs attended the 1996 show, according to a final analysis of attendance figures. While the number of visitors at the show - held at Silverstone from April 23-26 - was down on 1995 levels, the quality of visitors was higher. And with the number of company chairmen and directors up a staggering 24% on last year at 2,141 from 1,732, show organisers achieved their objective of ensuring key company decision makers attended Europe's largest fleet event. Final attendance figures show that 10,257 people visited the show during its four days compared with 10,753 people in 1995.
