BSM Qualified Driver Training has forged a strategic alliance with leading insurance brokerage Aon Risk Services to jointly develop a range of risk management products for the fleet market. The joint venture is another example of driver training companies working in tandem with the insurance industry and follows similar agreements between Cornhill and RoSPA, General Accident and Peak Performance/Peter Gethin Driving Courses and Eagle Star and New Driving Initiatives.

Aon - the second largest insurance brokerage and risk consulting company in the world - will work with BSM to develop and promote insurance and risk management products to fleet customers, insurance companies and brokers alike. In return, fleet operators can expect reduced accident rates and lower premiums from insurers who appreciate the effectiveness of driver training.

The deal means that potentially, every fleet will have access to qualified driver training programmes through a range of insurers. It will also deliver value-added incentives to insurers' policies and provide BSM with the marketing knowledge of one of the world's leading brokers.
