Proton reveals Compact changes

PROTON has announced significant specification and model badging changes to its Compact range of three-door hatchback models.

A driver's airbag and power steering becomes standard on all versions, while the range-topping 1.6SEi adds ABS as standard. The range also boasts a revised front grille with chrome inserts and the 1.6SEi boasts five-spoke alloy wheels and low profile tyres.

The former entry level 1.3 GLi is replaced by the Compact 1.3 LSi costing £8,999 on the road; while the 1.5 GLSi, which now features electric front windows as standard along with other changes, costs £9,999 on the road with the range-topper costing £11,999 on the road.
