MEVC sets up personal lease scheme

MANN Egerton Vehicle Contacts has launched a personal contract hire scheme targeted at the low mileage business user. The 'Signature' scheme is designed to appeal to drivers who have been hit hard by rises in benefit-in-kind tax.

Signature operates along similar lines to corporate contract hire - covering sourcing and supply of vehicles, breakdown recovery and collection at the end of the term - but the agreement is with the individual. Clients can also choose whether they want service and maintenance included in the monthly rate along with additional services like accident management and replacement vehicles.

Although uptake of personal contract hire plans has been slow to date, demand is widely predicted to pick up in the business sector as drivers look to limit personal tax liability.
