ROVER has won contracts to supply cars to the VIP chauffeur fleets of British Airways and the Bank of England. British Airways has chosen a Rover 800 Sterling for its premier fleet to provide transport between terminals for connecting flights, including Concorde trips.

British Airways transport manager for ground vehicles Sid Jackson said: 'We place great importance on the whole travelling experience. Having arrived in Britain the first impression our VIPs have is now created by the elegant and comfortable surroundings of the Rover 800. The car is a fine expression of Britishness and provides a superb reception for our customers.'

The Bank of England has ordered Sterlings for its executive City of London fleet from Premier Motors of Romford.
