Specialist dealers for Ford

FORD is to create a specialist network of under 200 dealers who will sell the Probe sports car and Maverick and forthcoming Explorer 4x4 vehicles.

A company spokesman said the initiative was similar to the RS dealer network which had exclusive rights to the RS branded high-performance models until they were phased out earlier this year. Each selected dealer will retain their existing territory for mainstream products and get an expanded territory for the three specialist models.
